Branching out from the previous list by Christie’s of museums offering virtual tours, Christie’s International Real Estate has compiled additional cultural experiences to enjoy from the comfort of your home. Broadened connectivity and the increased abundance of 3D tours and videos allow us the chance to remotely explore truly iconic cultural experiences and places!

Christie’s first highlights the multitude of museums offering virtual visits, including the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the MOMA (who are also offering free art classes), the Museo Frida Kahlo in Mexico City, the Tate in London and the Musée d’Orsay in Paris.

Spain’s Guggenheim Museum Bilbao allows visitors behind-the-scenes with the museum’s staff, including a look at the “top-secret work that goes into keeping up the Frank Gehry-designed building- including areas not usually open to the public.”

Additional tours of some of the most incredible locations around the globe can be found through Google’s Art and Culture site.

Next, we move on to culinary experiences where Michelin-starred chefs such as Massimo Bottura offer free lessons and tutorials. Editor of Vanity Fair UK Henry Porter encourages video cocktail hours with friends to brighten any day.

The Metropolitan Opera House brings music and theatre into our homes with complete performances and masterworks from the past 14 years, featuring some of opera’s greatest singers. For those looking to work towards checking off some of their life goals, author Yiyun Li offers a virtual book club and guided tour through Tolstoy’s War and Peace with 30 minutes a day.
